How to play La Primitiva Lotto

La Primitiva Lotto is a 6/49 game. In order to win the jackpot, you need to match 6 numbers with those drawn from the set of 49 balls. A seventh ball drawn is used for the Bonus Ball (Reintegro) to increase the second division prize.

La Primitiva lotto games are held three times per week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. The lotto draws are broadcast live on TV and are strictly supervised by representatives from the Spanish Government.

June 2011. 1.3 million(EUR) was won by a 34 year old man who was camping with demonstrators in the Puerta del Sol in Madrid.

April 2007. 26.2 million(EUR) was won in Monteagudo, Murcia.

Oct 2005. A 24.9 million(EUR) prize was shared between 23 workers at a Malaga bus company. The employees from Alsina Graellsat (a well-known company on the Costa del Sol), played with the same numbers they use every week in the 20th La Primitiva anniversary.

History

The Spanish National Lottery (Loteria Nacional) has existed since 1763, which makes it one of the oldest lottos in the world and up until 1862 was a 5 from 90 game.
